Hi, I'm Max Monat.

I learned photography on film in 2004. For a few years, it was more of a hobby than a profession. 

After seeing a documentary on the photographer Helmut Newton, I have decided to make a professional change and make it my passion.

Since then, I never look back. I only look at the light and how to capture it. 

For me, light is at its best when it emerges from darkness.
